Plant Caravan is drafting Little Dreamer Herb Planting Day with Little Dreamer Creative HTX for summer 2026 in Houston, TX. This will be a hands-on community event for anyone who wants to learn more about getting herbs and vegetables started in the right soil.

Team and artists

The day will carry Little Dreamer’s creative spirit, with artists and friends joining the event:

What we’ll plant and learn

Attendees can expect to plant herbs and learn about two practical soil styles:

  • Fast-draining Mediterranean herb mix — a leaner, better-draining soil approach for lavender, rosemary, and other plants that prefer drier roots.
  • General-purpose garden mix — a more versatile soil for tomatoes, basil, arugula, dill, and other everyday edible plants.

We’ll talk through why different plants want different moisture and drainage conditions, then put that lesson into practice by planting together.
